USA Personal Effects

A new security directive has been issued by the US TSA (Transport Security Administration) for shipments to the USA and transiting the USA.  The directive is outlilned as follows;

• Recommendation for all airlines to embargo consignments containing personal or household effects
• No consignments paid for by cash, personal cheque or shipped as cash on delivery
• No consignments from a shipper that does not have an established business relationship of less than 30 days and an established shipping and billing address

Although the recommendation is for the airlines to embargo consignments containing personal or household effects and most have adhered, there are a few airlines which are still accepting this type of cargo.  Unfortunately as a result we have seen a sharp increase in rates.

Please note that with immediate effect we will only accept consignments which comply with the above.  It is your responsibility to ensure that you comply with these new regulations and you will be held fully liable in the event on non-compliance.
